This check list is designed specifically for students from other campuses of the Penn State system who plan to transfer to the Mathematical Sciences program at Penn State Harrisburg.

A minimum of 60 credit hours with a 2.0 cummulative grade point average are required which are distributed as follows.

Additional requirements  
  • First-Year Seminar, 1 credit of any course with a S, T, X, or PSU designations.
  • United States Cultures and International Cultures Requirements, 3 credits of any course with a US designation and 3 credits of any course with an IL designation. These can be satisfied simultaneously with any of the above requirements, or any course in the degree requirements.
  • Writing Across the Curriculum requirement is satisfied by MATH 311W or MASC 475W, a required course in the MASC degree program.
  • If you spend the first two years at Penn State Harrisburg, you also need to take SSET 295 (1 credit).
